Coliseum Cafe & Hotel was established in 1921. With its stained white walls and antique deco, it is among the oldest restaurants still operating at this busy street. It used to be 'The Place' to get real Western food back in the day. My father used to bring my family to dine here. Coming back again after such a long time certainly brings back my childhood memories.

Besides western foods, Coliseum also serves authentic Hainenese cuisine like their famous Stir Fried Beef with Kuey Teow, which sadly i haven't tried before. I remembered we always had their western foods only and this time, when I am here again with my hubby, we had western foods too.

It was a great gathering as all of us had a good time catching up and eating. My mom is one of the greatest woman in this world! She needs not any recognition from any big powerful organization. We, her daughters and sons, the four of us are the living testimonies of her works.

She certainly is one of the greatest woman in this world! And She is our BEST mom! We will never forget about all the sacrifices you've made, and the efforts and hopes you've put in us. We love you, MOM!

Yes, this is yet another great deal we've purchased from the deal sites, and this time it is from JackCow. For only RM28.80 per pax, we got our individual serving of 6 Course Chinese Meal. Good for us, the foods were yummy~licious too!

Great price, great food, great ambience, everyting were just perfect! Oh, wait...no, except for their parking! Their in-house parking were limited. We have to parked at the nearby shop lots which were opposite the restaurant with two roads in different traffics in the middle. Conveniently, there is a pedestrian bridge just in front of the restaurant. So, crossing the road is not a problem. You just got to find a parking space.

Generous use on ingredients when double boiling this soup. It's certainly one of the most flavorful soup i've ever tasted!

Listening to her sultry and soulful vocals in this song bring a sense of happiness to me, alongside with a relaxing lovey dovey mood. This particular song from Olivia Ong happened to be one of the love songs played during our wedding dinner. We've meticulously handpicked each and every songs played during that night, and that is why you can tell that this is a very special song to the both of us. :)

Olivia Ong whom is now 26 years old is a rising star from Singapore. She sings mostly in English and Japanese. At the age of 15, she was signed to a Japanese recording company S2S Pte Ltd after winning a singing contest. Her singing career developed thereafter.

Gastro is an ancient Greek word means 'stomach'. I guessed with a name like that, you can expect your stomach being their main priority in Gastro Cafe. Gastro Cafe serves the finest taste of authentic Hainanese Cuisine. I am so glad for Everyday.com that we were able to enjoy a Gastronomic Adventures for Two for only RM15.90 : Two Chicken Chop + Two Ice Lemon Tea + Two Ice Kacang. Isn't that a greal deal?

Actually, i was skeptical about the taste at first but since my hubby had bought the vouchers, i reluctantly gave in. Thank goodness, my hubby's choice did not let me down! We had an enjoyable scrumptious meal and for sure, our 'gastros' were satisfied! :D

It's Halloween, peeps! How was your weekend Halloween party? Hope you guys had a blast! For sure, mine is not as exciting & interesting as you guys because we don't really celebrate Halloween here in Malaysia. Other than pubs and private parties, it's all quiet here. How i wish our neighbourhoods here celebrate Halloween like those in US countries, where children, dressed up as fairies, princesses or even cute witches would go around asking for 'trick-or-treat'. How adorable!

Haha, yes, that's my Halloween idea. I know, I am not scary at all and i admit that i don't know how to scare others. That's me! Even Blogthings said so too.

Ahhh.... Bak Kut Teh, another haven delicacy that we absolutely adore! It's our all-time favourite food, especially during rainy days like these days.

As verified by history, Malaysian “Bak Kut Teh” was originated by Mr. Lee in Klang South.

The story can be traced back to the time after the Second World War during which Malaya was still under the British colonial rule. Mr. Lee was then selling his stewed “Bak Kut” (Bone & Meat) originated from his hometown in China.

On one occasion, he tried to improve his bak kut soup by adding in some Chinese medicinal herbs. As a result he created the first ever created delicacy whose flavor was much to the liking of gourmets until it became a household name.

Later, someone nicknamed the founder Bak Kut “Teh” (“Teh” is his last name which means “place” in Chinese which is the homonym of another “teh” meaning “tea” in Yong Chun dialect). Since then, the soup is mistakenly called Bak Kut Teh meaning “Bak Kut Tea”.

That is why peoples often said 'Klang Bak Kut Teh is the best'. I could not agree on this statement whole-heartedly because nowadays, i can still get delectable Bak Kut Teh else where. But one thing for sure, Kee Hiong Restaurant certainly serve one of the best Bak Kut Teh in town.

Me and my hubby, we loves Thai food, especially Tom Yam. We have never fail to try out any Tom Yam that we see on the way. And this time round, it's at 19 USJ City Mall.

Actually, we've tried their food long ago, when the restaurant was newly opened. The dishes were not bad, like their cashew nut chicken and fried belacan kangkung. Since we have tried those dishes before, we decided to try something else this time.

Clean modern looking interior, Pormtip Thai is just next to Pot Luck Steamboat Restaurant.

And who say changes are good? Sometimes, it is better to stick to the foods that you are familiar with. But on second thought, if you don't take the risk, how would you know where to get good food next time!

Purple Cane Tea Restaurant. I am sure this sounded familiar to you right? Well, we were no stranger to this restaurant even before we had our first step in this restaurant. We've heard of this resto many times from colleagues and friends. It was said to served nice healthy foods.

And coincidentally, one fine day when we were at MidValley, my friend suggested that we dine at Purple Cane. We agreed to it without a second thought. It was a delightful dinner although the Salad Prawn was a turn off.

Marmite Chicken With Uncle Wan's Sauce

My hubby love marmite style. Whenever we dine outside, he would take the opportunity to order some marmite style dishes. And I've been wanting to cook some marmite style dish for him at home, but never had the chance or should i say i was too lazy to find the right recipe.

Well, all that, until i've found a ready-made Uncle Wan's marmite sauce which suits our taste perfectly. It's so easy to work with coz you don't have to add any seasoning to the sauce. It's simply yummy~licious on its own!

Uncle Wan's Marmite Sauce
(HALAL)
Price: RM6.00/ tub
Storage: Upto 3 months in freezer

MARMITE CHICKEN - UNCLE WAN'S SAUCE

Ingredients:

600g chicken fillet (cubed)
3 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 egg

1 cup corn flour
1 Tbsp tapioca starch

1 Tbsp oil
1/2 tub Uncle Wan's Marmite Sauce

Method:
1. Marinade chicken with wet ingredients for 1/2 an hour.

2. Coat chicken cubes with the flour mixture and deep fried till golden. Drain.

3. Heat wok with 1 Tbsp oil. Add in Uncle Wan's marmite sauce and cook under medium heat.

4. When sauce is bubbling, add in the fried chicken cubes and stir well till sauce is well combined and thicken to your desired consistency.

I know it is abit far for those who are staying in Subang and Puchong like us, but it is definitely a place to try out especially on a late Sunday brunch whereby the traffic is more convincing.

Beside the freshly baked pastry, there are also sandwiches, cakes, cookies and pasta to choose from. But because we went there on a Sunday tea time, we only ordered their pastries. Let's just keep the pasta for next time, we thought.

Music Monday #10: Ladylike

Did you guys watch the reality show Rockstar Supernova back in 2006? The show was hosted by Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke. It featured 15 great contestants competing to become the lead vocalist for a newly formed supergroup, featuring Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted, and Gilby Clarke.

Among the 15 contestants, I love Storm Large the most! She has a very unique voice and i really love her style. She is beautiful, intelligent and sexy. Tho' she was eliminated in the last show before season finale, her single 'Ladylike' which was recorded after that was debuted at #5 on Billboard's Hot Singles Sales chart. She is simply an awesome artist!

Remember that I told you guys about the new place that me & my hubby were going to try last week. Well, this is it. Like many other new steamboat restaurant, Pot Luck served each person with an individual hot pot to cook their food in. The uniqueness of this restaurant is their seating arrangement whereby you can either choose to sit on the floor with low table or the normal 'table & chair' seating.

The soup is abit bland at first but when added the fried onion, it was yummmier.

This is not a tomyam soup at all! It has only spicy & sour taste. More like a 'spicy & sour' soup.

Consists of all types of fish balls, chicken slices, fu zhok, noodles, vegetables, eggs, scallops, mushrooms, jelly fish, dumplings, tofus.

Thankfully, we've bought this cheap deal from everyday.com. For the above, except the drinks, we've only paid RM19.70. It's a good buy, because we were able to try out a new eatery place without spending much.

Music Monday #9: Party Rock Anthem

When you've repeatedly listen to a song for every weekend in 2 months consecutive, you will begin to like it. Believe me, that is what happened to me on this particular dance song. It started few months back. Funnily, I don't know how, but me & my friends begun to make the pubs one of our frequent hang-out places.

No matter which pub we went to, this particular song was always on the air. I don't normally listen to hip hop, but when you're at the pub, these are the songs that you will find. When I first listen to this particular song, it seems just like another ordinary hip hop dance song. But after a few hear, i've begun to like it, and later on, love it. Its beat has really got the power to make your body move. And it has a happy tone to it. Maybe it was because when we were in the pub, we would drink, laugh and dance our nights away. It was crazily fun especially when you have such crazy friends like mine! :D And maybe that it why i love this song, because it reminded me of the crazily fun moments i had with my friends whom i dearly love. :)

I love, i lurveee grilled fish especially grilled stingray hawker style. Hawker style means grilling the fish with a sheet of banana leave underneath. Usually they will use a flat pan. The skin must be 'pan-fry' till it has a crisp. And the most important is that, it must have a super spicy~licious sambal/ chilli sauce to compliment the dish. *slurp*

Yay!!! Aren't you glad that it's friday already? Well, I am! My hubby & I had purchased a food voucher from everyday.com a few weeks ago and we're planning to use them tonight. It's for a couple steamboat set at this new restaurant near my place. So yay!! a new place to try out! :D Will let you guys know how it turns out later, k! ;)

Right now, let's get into our yummy post for today - T.G.I.F. - short for "Thank God It's Friday" which perfectly described how i feel right now! I don't think I need to further explain on T.G.I.F because it is [already] a well-known casual western dining restaurant in Malaysia. Those who are staying in Malaysia should have been to T.G.I.F, for at least once. But if you're among the minorities who have not been to T.G.I.F, you might want consider going one of these days, and why not today? Afterall, it's T.G.I. Friday's! :)

Lat week, me & my hubby went for a scrumptious authentic Thai feast at Sawasde Thai Restaurant with our friends. It was to celebrate one of old buddy's birthday. The reason we had choosen this restaurant was because we had purchased vouchers from them, well, to be exact, it was from Milkadeal.

...RM22/ pax instead of RM40 for any dishes from the a la carte menu Buffet-Style.Pork-free...

A week before that, my hubby saw a great deal from this restaurant at Milkadeal - "RM22/ pax instead of RM40 for Any Dishes from the A la Carte Menu at Sawasde Thai, Subang Jaya. 1 Pax. Buffet-Style. Pork Free". Without hesitation, my hubby quickly sent out an email to our old buddies, talking about this deal for our other buddy's birthday. We bought 12 vouchers when all had agreed on it.

It was so fun! Since it was a buffet style, we ordered like mad. In total, we've ordered about 40++ dishes of 23 varieties. The bill came up to RM1000++, but with the vouchers, it was only RM264. It was a super~licious great deal! We all had so much fun ordering and eating, and it is definitely the best deal we ever had! :) Thank you, Milkadeal!

Bandung Trip 2011, Part IV: A Pretty~licious Souvenir From Trinity

The next thing that i wanna share with you guys on my Bandung trip is a colorful pretty~licious edible souvenir from my old bestie, Trinity. It is actually a set of 10 colorfully painted steamed buns in different types of fruity shapes.

According to Trin,Andy Yang Pastry in which this souveneir was bought, is a very famous pastry shop in Bandung. Thanks to her, i managed to taste something from this shop. My first thought when i saw these pretty~licious was, "Oh my!! These are so cute and pretty! Can these really be eaten?" Well, of coz, when i ate these buns, i've peeled off the outer skin first. After all, too much of coloring will do you no good to your health, rite! :)

Bandung Trip 2011, Part III: Getting Romantic~licious At The Valley

I was really excited to go to this restaurant because my hubby has been talking about it ever since he's been there during his recent business trip. He has been longing to bring me there, so when we were finally there together, he was ecstatic.

It is called 'The Valley' or locally pronounced as 'Wal-lei', i guessed it is simply because it is situated on a valley. According to my hubby, it is an ideal romantic place for lovey dovey couples like us to dine in. :) Being there myself, i totally agreed with him. Besides the quality menu of steak and seafood, it has a beautiful night view with it's outdoor setting only dimly lighted with candles and decorative lights around its' pillars.

Bandung Trip 2011, Part II: Mie Naripan 108

I've always wanted to try bakso whenever i see them at the malay stall here, back at my own homeland, but was always stopped by the thought that it would not taste nice. I never really know how it looks like until I have tried it at Mie Naripan 108, Bandung.

All along, i thought bakso is something like mee jawa with the thick rojak-like gravy. How shallow is my knowledge! I was wrong! Bakso is a simple ~~beef~~ noodle with meatballs. What really makes a bakso yummy are its springy noodle and spongy fresh meatballs. Mie Naripan 108 has both of these!

Oh, i really love their 'orange' juice! Mind you, they don't have oranges like here, in Malaysia. Their oranges are tangerines. I've always love tangerines, especially when we can only get it during festive season only, so this is absolutely my favourite drink in Bandung!

And he had to peel off about 10 calendar pages everyday. Notice the hand drawn nostalgia signboard on top of those calendars? One can only be reminded of the past when they sees this 'good-kept' signboard.

So, if next time you are in Bandung, and you're a beef eater, you MUST try this bakso. It has been around since 1965 so all locals should know this place. It's simply yummy~licious!!

Bandung Trip 2011, Part I: Meeting Up With Trinity & Family

One of the most memorable moments we had while we were on our Bandung trip was meeting up with Trinity, her friendly hubby Hendra and their two lovely sons Clay and Clifford. It was really a great meet-up. Trin & I were instantly 'clicked' even tho' we've not met each others before. Same goes with my hubby and her handsome hubby Hendra. We were like old friends meeting up again. :)

I've known Trin from her blog Rooms of My Heart when I first started blogging with A Great Pleasure in 2007. We were really close during that time but as time goes by, i started to lose my blogging mojo due to my hectic schedule and hence later totaly disappeared from blogosphere. Few years later, thanks to Facebook, I was reconnected with Trin again. Trin is really a down to earth, lovely woman, as well as a pretty wifey. It was a great pleasure meeting up with her and her family.

We Were At Bandung!

Hello peeps! We are back!! Miss us? :) I miss you guys heaps! Thank you so much for playing in Guess Where Are We? It's happy to be back and be greeted by you guys. Hello my fabou~licious friends and visitors! This is a scheduled post. By the time this post is published, me and my hubby is already on our flight to somewhere beautiful. Last time, my hubby & i used to dine at Mamak Village during tea time. Our favourites are their roti canai and murtabak. But during our recent visit after so many years of not going there, we decided to go for their nasi briyani. Lucky for us, it was yummy! :)

Briyani rice with curry chicken. Briyani rice is usually made of spices and basmati rice. In Malaysia, it is especially served during Malay wedding receptions. Even tho' this one at Mamak Village is not using basmati rice, it still has the fragrant from the spices. Yummy!

A refreshing treat during the hot days!

My hubby used to stayed in SS1 when he was a young boy. He loves eating curry laksa at this particular hawker stall in a restaurant at Seapark. This hawker stall is called Sisters Curry Laksa which is operated by two sisters. But ever since he shifted to Subang Jaya, he seldom eats there anymore.

So, when he found out that there is a new branch opening in Bandar Puteri Puchong, he did not hesitate to bring me there. Truly, it was the best curry laksa! No wonder he misses this curry laksa so much! There is also a stall in Putri Mart Foodcourt.

Since all my trip photos were taken from my friend's camera, i have no choice but to skip blogging about my awesome trip first until my friend had forwarded the photos to me. So now, i will blog about the next day instead. On our way home from Port Dickson, we stopped by Seremban for some yummy crabby dinner. This restaurant is very famous for its BBQ crabs. But apparently, it is only the crabby dishes that pleases my peculiar taste buds.

Hello, everyone! I'm back from my short getaway. It was an awesome trip! We went to Eagle Ranch Resort at Port Dickson with our friends. PHD simply stands for Pizza Hut Delivery. It is Pizza Hut new delivery line that cater specially for delivery services only. If you're expecting PHD to be the same as Pizza Hut, you'll be disappointed! PHD and Pizza Hut is slightly different, from their menu wise and taste wise.

Like for instance, in Pizza Hut, we have Hawaiian Chicken. But in PHD, it is called Waikiki Chicken. And their set deals are different too. Please refer to their website for new menu.

Aji Shan - Klang Bak Kut Teh

Everyone knows that Klang Bak Kut Teh is the best. When we were doing our groceries shopping one day, we saw this Aji Shan Klang BKT on the shelf. Tempted to cook my own first BKT, i bought 2 packets home, alongside with the other ingredients for BKT.

Upon reaching home, i excitedly prepare the ingredients and cook away! I remembered from my father-in-law's BKT, he put chicken feet to thicken the soup. Chicken feet tends to make the soup more gluey, which is good! I don't have chicken feet but i have chicken wings, so i've used them instead. It worked as a thickening agent half as good as chicken feet when cooked over long period.

My first BKT
The meat were soft and tender. It falls off the bone easily and melts in your mouth. The soup was just the right taste and consistency. My hubby gave me a rating of 5/5. He lurvee it!! And he has been asking me when i want to cook my BKT again!!

One of the top must have accompaniment for BKT is "Yau Char Kwai", or also known as "Youtiao" or Chinese cruller. YCK is a long golden brown, deep fried strip of dough. It is cripsy on the outside and soft in the inside. Really yummy when you dunked it in BKT soup and eat it while it is hot.

AJI SHAN - KLANG BAK KUT TEH

Ingredients:

2 packets Aji Shan Klang Bak Kut Teh Condiment (20g per pack)
3 whole garlic clove
3 litres water
600gm pork ribs (cubed) /or desired meat
5 chicken wings
1 can straw mushroom (halved)

2 tsp dark soy sauce
6 Tbsp soy sauce
3 tsp salt
2 Tbsp oyster sauce

Method:
1. Bring 3 litres of water to boil together with condiment and garlic clove. Add in dark soy sauce. Boil for another 10 mins.

2. Add in the cubed pork, chicken wing and the rest of seasonings. Cook for 45 mins. Reduce heat, boil for another 1 1/2 hour.

3. Lastly add in straw mushroom.

King of Fruits, Mr. Durian!

For two weekends consecutive, we had durians for supper. Yes, just durians! It was my hubby's idea. Apparently he was having durians fewer and got me infected. We bought our durians from the stall at the roadside nearby our home. Nowadays, they (the sellers) were so clever to open their stalls at the roadside in residential area. It was so convenient for us to buy the durians when we are on our way home.

Durians are also known as King of Fruits. It is a tropical fruit that has formidable thorn covered husk, unique odour and custard like flesh. Even with the husk still intact, you can smell the durian from afar. It is a fruit that you will either love it or hate it! Me and my hubby falls in the "Love it" category!

Durians have even been in the Bizarre Food show on AFC. The daring host, Andrew Zimmern can swallow any bizarre food down his throat but not this peculiar fruit that is known as King of Fruits. I guessed he's one of the thousand peoples that falls in the "Hate it" category.

I Love You Shabu Shabu @ Bandar Puchong Jaya

Last Wednesday, we brought my mom and my two adorable nieces to a new place for steamboat called "I Love You Shabu Shabu Restaurant". The dinner is in celebration of my hubby's birthday. Afraid that it might be full house when we reach there, i make a phone reservation a day before that.

"Good Afternoon! I Love You Shabu Shabu?", I have swiftly asked. Upon hearing myself, i laughed out. The staff whom answered the phone laughed out as well. It was as tho' i have just expressed my love to someone called Shabu Shabu. Lol! :D I guessed majority of peoples will refer it as only Shabu Shabu.

Anyway, we reached there around 7pm. And we were surprise to see that only a couple of peoples dining there because from the reviews online, it should be packed with peoples during dinner time. "Maybe it is still early," we thought. But when we leave at 9pm later, only half the restaurant were packed. Oh well, maybe it was a weekday or maybe the restaurant has simply lost its popularity.

The restaurant has a clean and tidy ambiance. Unlike some typical air-conditioned restaurant, whereby you'll be smelling like the food itself, I Love You Shabu Shabu does not stain any 'food' smell on your clothes or on your scent~licious fruity smelling hair.

Individual Pot
Although I love having steamboat in a big pot with my friends/ families sharing, sometimes having steamboat in individual pots are great too. It is more relax and personal. You can choose whatever soup base you wanted. Mine is on chicken soup base, while my hubby, mom and nieces are having tomyam soup, herbal soup and ABC soup respectively. All the soups are not bad. Yumm..

Clams, Squids, Prawns, Mussels, Scallops, Fishes
I don't really like their clams because it was not washed properly. Most of them had dirt in it.

Drinks & Meat Counters
Varieties of soft drinks and juices to choose from. The meat counter is at the back of this drinks counter. If you want any beef, chicken or pork slices, just inform the guy at the meat counter. He will then slice them for you.

Vegetaables and Others
As you eat, you can comfortably grab any vegetables, fishballs, mee or others ingredients on the conveyor belt next to you.

If you're looking for a place to chill out, you might want to consider Sense Cafe. Located on the 3rd Floor in IOI Mall, Sense Cafe is dimly lighted with a cozy ambiance. At one side of the cafe, you can find comfy sofas sitting. That's where me & my hubby sat. In the centre, there is a stage for live band performance. The band consists of two guys were not bad. Me & hubby had a great time chilling out there.

Sekinchan Ikan Bakar @ Taipan USJ 10, Subang Jaya

Before its opening in Taipan USJ, I first saw Sekinchan Ikan Bakar around Bandar Puteri Puchong area. It was always packed with crowds whenever we wanted to patron it. Not wanting to sardined in between the already crowded crowds, we decided to drop out our idea to eat there.

When i saw that they have opened a new branch in Taipan USJ, I was ecstatic! I've been always wanting to try it out. Last weekend, I finally got the chance. We went there for dinner around 8pm, it was less crowded compared to when it first opened.

Nasi Lemak @ RM2.50
Rating: 4/5
The rice is really fragrant and sambal is just the right spiciness and taste, but it comes in a very small portion. It's a bit too expensive for such a small plate of nasi lemak.

Grilled Stingray @ RM17.50
Rating: 3/5
It doesn't have 'grilled' taste, more like a steamed stingray. The chili sauce on top was all right but you need to squeeze in some lime juice. Without the lime juice, the sauce is too bland.

Porridge Steamboat @ Gold Chilli USJ 21, Subang Jaya

Unlike during my school times where we can only get to choose from the two traditional options for steamboat; chicken soup base and tomyam soup base; now, we have more options like the herbal soup base, szechuan hot soup base, ABC soup base, porridge base and even soya soup base. It's so much fun and yummier to have steamboats nowadays!

Just recently, i had porridge steamboat with my friends at Gold Chilli. It was a cold night, and having steamboat is just the perfect meal to have! The porridge base was really yummy and filling. We ordered 3 servings for the 4 of us and it was more than enough. I guessed it's because we kept eating the porridge instead of the ingredients. :D

Sambal Lady's Fingers/ Sambal Okra

Both my hubby and i are especially in big appetite when it comes to sambal dishes. We can eat at least 2 plates of rice, sometimes 3 for my hubby. Haha... :D Here's the recipe for the Sambal Lady's Fingers I made the other day for our dinner. Enjoy! :)

SAMBAL LADY'S FINGERS/ SAMBAL OKRA

Ingredients:

10pcs lady's fingers/ okra (sliced diagonally)
1/2 onion (sliced ring)
2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
200g cili giling/ chilli paste (Puteri brand)
1 Tbsp dried shrimp (soaked and finely chopped)
1 Tbsp whole dried shrimp (soaked)
salt and sugar to taste

Spiciness:

Method:
1. Heat the wok wt 2-3 Tbsp cooking oil. Saute onion and dried shrimp (both finely chopped and whole), followed by garlic. Stir-fry until fragrant.

2. Add in chilli paste and stir-fry until cooked. You will see a layer of oil in the surface.

3. Add in lady's fingers. Stir-fry till cooked. Add in salt & sugar to taste.

American Style Breakfast

Of all the meals in a day, i love Breakfast the most! And if you ask me, "What's my perfect breakfast?" I will have to say it's the American style breakfast, simply because i love ham and bacon! :)

Here's a photo of American style breakfast i've prepared for my hubby. The German Bratwurst was the most expensive sausage we've ever bought. It's at RM40.90/kg which made this sausage at approx RM4.50/pc. I've also added baked beans because my hubby love them.

J.CO Donuts & Me

Whenever my hubby & i are at the mall, we will usually take away a box of 1/2 dozen donuts from J.CO on our way home. It's our latest addiction! We can't stop it! My fave is their Coco Loco which is choco topping with choco filling, woohoo!! Double boost of choco~licious!! And my hubby's fave is Glazzy which is honey glazed doughnut. I love Glazzy too because it's really soft, and it melts in your mouth.

It wouldn't be perfect if there's no coffee, so sometimes, i would take away a nice cup of latte to go with my Coco Loco, it depends on my caffeine intake for the day. I'm only allowed to drink one cup of coffee a day. :P

As what I've told Marzie the other day, Puchong is a Food Paradise! Really! Here, you can get anything; thai, japanese, balenese, seafood, dim sum, chinese, malay, korean, you name it, we got it here. If you know where to dine, you'll never have a dissatisfy stomach.

Lucky for us, when we choose to try a new place, we usually ended up with happy, satisfied stomachs. And it's the same here with A WÊT Thai Food Cafe. :)

We really love this dish. The vege were cooked to perfection, with a crunch to it. And the sauce is yummy too. Not the usual oyster sauce or belachan style.

During my school time, boy bands like Boyzone, Westlife and Take That were very famous. We, girls, love to talk about their charming looks and of coz also about their songs. Westlife is an Irish pop group formed in 1998, comprised of Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan and Brian McFadden. However, Brian McFadden leave the group in 2004. Now, the four of them continue to rock the hearts of young girls with their more awesome songs.

If you are a chicken rice lover like us, you would love this place. It serves the best steamed kampung chicken; smooth, juicy and tender! And on top of that, it has the best sauce; made of garlic, coriander leaves, spring onions, ginger, oil and soy sauce. The fragrant smells from the coriander really makes one appetite increases. We had to order another plate of sauce to finish up our chicken.

Kids Meal @ Sakae Sushi

Sometime last week, we brought my nieces to Sakae Sushi, IOI Mall Puchong. Sakae Sushi is a great place for kids who love japanese foods like my nieces. There are varieties of Kids Meal to choose from, with pricing from as low as RM9.90. Asides from their attractive presentation, their foods is actually yummy~licious! Both my nieces love their meals!

Today, the 7th of July 2011, is the day when Yummy~licious declares independence! Today is the day she stands on her own domain! And yes, thanks to the supports from her fave person in blogosphere, Marzie, Yummy~licious has taken her first step into successful & happy blogging.

And it is just a perfect time to buy a domain now at GoDaddy.combecause they are having a spring sale. With only USD7.49, Yummy~licious was able to buy msyummylicious.com. What a good deal!

Fish Valley Semenyih Restaurant @ Semenyih

The recent Saturday, my friends & i went to Fish Valley Semenyih Restaurant for dinner, in celebration of my hubby's birthday which is on this coming 14th. Located near the Nirvana Memorial Park, Fish Valley Semenyih is as its name, is a fishing valley with several fishing ponds; both big and small and the restaurant in the centre. It is a great place for fishing enthusiasts, whereby you can fish and savour your catches immediately after that.

But for us, we were there for the yummy~licious food that night. :)

Deep fried fresh red talapia in thai style peanut sauce. The fish was crispy on the outside, soft in the inside. It's really interesting with the fried peanuts, a good combination.

I love it that they had fried the whole dried shrimp instead of using chopped dried shrimp. Biting the fragrant crispy dried shrimp in between of the soft lala clams really compliments each others.

Sketchy Sunday #1: Julia's Bunny

Today, my mind is all about our beloved daughter, Julia. So when i saw Emila's sketch post, i decided to draw Julia's bunny. This bunny dollie was bought by her uncle when I was 7 months pregnant with her. It was a sunday, my families including my hubby & I were shopping around KL malls. We saw this adorable bunny in one of the shops and fall in love with it. Since my brother hasn't buy anything for Julia yet, I've asked him to buy this bunny. Both my hubby & i love this bunny coz it is so adorable, just like our baby girl.

I used brush tool in illustrator to draw this. Not too bad, huh!
